Vanco's e.service® Merchant Services offers churches, schools and nonprofits a versatile set of options for accepting credit and debit cards under a variety of circumstances.

Setting Up Automatic Donations

Vanco's most popular option is a Card Not Present solution used primarily for scheduled (recurring) donations or payments. This web-based solution works with any Internet-connected computer. A staff member, working from an authorization form, enters payment information only once to set up a series of recurring transactions. No special software or card reading equipment is required.

Swiping Credit and Debit Cards

Vanco offers an optional card reader that turns any computer into a card swipe machine. This small card reader plugs into the USB port on an Internet-connected computer enabling organizations to process Card Present (one-time) transactions. It's ideal for live events such as auctions and fall festivals or in any situation where one-time donations or payments are accepted. No software is required.

Keying In Real-Time Transactions

Virtual Terminal is an option that allows staff to process real-time credit and debit card transactions by keying in payment information from any Internet-connected computer.

How Vanco's Solution Works For Recurring Donations

 
1. Authorize
  Donors authorize your organization to process payments from a credit or debit card. This is typically done in writing using an authorization form. Another option is to utilize Vanco's Online Donation solution that allows donors to authorize a donation without using a paper form.
     
2. Enter the Transaction
  After receiving a signed authorization form from your donor, payment information is entered into our system for processing. The easiest and most common way to enter payment information is through Vanco's online Service Center, a secure website designed for our clients to manage their electronic transactions. Once a payment is entered, the rest is automated. A friendly Vanco implementation specialist will help you get going and provide ongoing assistance.
 
3. Process & Settle
  On the scheduled payment date, Vanco processes all authorized card transactions and directs the funds into your designated account.
 
4. Confirm
  Vanco generates a deposit report confirming the total amount deposited into your account. Your donors in turn see the transactions on account statements from their credit card company or financial institution.

Do we need a card reader machine in order to accept credit cards?

No. Vanco offers credit and debit card options to suit almost any need, including card swipe.
 

Will I receive training?

Yes. Upon signing up for any of our payment solutions, one of our implementation specialists will provide over-the phone training to get you up and running quickly. Live, ongoing support from our customer service department is always just a phone call or email away.
 

If we use more than one Vanco solution, will we still log onto Vanco's online Service Center the same way?

Yes. You will be able to manage all your Vanco payment solutions from the same online Service Center.
 

What do your reports look like?

Reports are simple, straightforward and easy to use. And if you ever find yourself questioning a report, you can easily speak live to a helpful customer service representative without wading through a long series of recorded telephone prompts and commands.
 

Can we accept credit and debit cards via our website?

Absolutely! You can add that capability with our Online Donation solution. A payment page designed in the style of your website is a valuable tool for specific funds and temporary fund drives. You will find it easy to add or remove funds as needed.
